New Piece, and Takins

I've recently added a new piece to my portfolio.  It's an animated illustration, created in Flash, and I'm quite happy with the result.  This is my character Drake Kingson, the detective in a mystery comic I'm currently working on.










In other news, I've discovered that I really like the Takin, a muskox from Northern China. :)  They had some at the San Diego Zoo, and they're really beautiful animals.  According to the tour guide at the zoo, they might even be the source of inspiration for the myth of Jason and the Golden Fleece.

My first post!

Huzzah!  My very first blog post.

I'm still trying to figure out this whole blog CSS thing, but eventually this should look more like the rest of my website.  At least I've managed to get the background to match, haha.

Basically, this blog will be for my art and sketches, and perhaps other pertinent life-happenings.  I guess we'll just have to see as this progresses. :)

Update: I figured out Blogger's CSS, and now this looks much more congruous with the rest of the site. I believe more huzzahs are in order.
